ASBSD’s Delegate Assembly is the time and place to establish your state school board association’s legislative direction and share your district’s view on key legislative topics.
Delegates will vote on ASBSD’s resolutions and standing positions, which set the legislative path for the 2020 legislative session.
“We’re urging each ASBSD member district to appoint a board member to represent them at ASBSD Delegate Assembly to voice their district’s opinion on key, legislative issues that will affect public, K-12 education,” ASBSD Executive Director Wade Pogany said.
Your district can submit your appointed delegate’s name and information in one of two ways, either:
- Complete the delegate appointment form(click to open or download the attachment from the Publications & Forms page under the Event Documents header) and return by email to email@example.com or via fax 605-773-2501, or;
- Simply forward your delegate’s name and contact information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This year’s Delegate Assembly is set for Friday, November 15 at the Ramkota River Center in Pierre (920 W Sioux Ave.) beginning at 1 p.m. (CDT) and scheduled to conclude at approximately 5 p.m. (CDT), but may run longer depending on discussion.
ASBSD member districts can also submit resolutions for review at Delegate Assembly until November 5.
If you have questions about submitting a delegate or Delegate Assembly, please contact Tyler at email@example.com or at 605-773-8382 or 605-881-3791.
