Appoint your district’s delegate for the 2020 ASBSD Delegate Assembly

ASBSD’s Delegate Assembly is the time to establish your state school board association’s legislative direction and share your district’s view on key legislative topics.

Delegates will vote on ASBSD’s resolutions and standing positions, which set the legislative path for the 2021 legislative session.

“ASBSD member district should appoint a board member to represent them at ASBSD Delegate Assembly to voice their district’s opinion on key, legislative issues that will affect public, K-12 education,” ASBSD Executive Director Wade Pogany said.

Review updates made to ASBSD’s Resolutions and Standing Positions.

Your district can submit your appointed delegate’s name and information in one of two ways, either:

  • Complete the delegate appointment form (click to open or download the attachment from the Publications & Forms page under the Event Documents header) and return by email to tpickner@asbsd.org or via fax 605-773-2501, or;
  • Simply forward your delegate’s name and contact information to tpickner@asbsd.org.

This year’s Delegate Assembly is set for Friday, November 20. At this time, ASBSD is planning to hold Delegate Assembly as in-person event, with location and time to be provided at a later date, but may change course due to the COVID-19 pandemic, if necessary.

We will provide updates as the event approaches.

ASBSD member districts can also submit resolutions for review at Delegate Assembly until Tuesday, November 10.

If you have questions about submitting a delegate or Delegate Assembly, please contact Tyler at tpickner@asbsd.org or at 605-881-3791.
