Legislative Testimony
ASBSD staff lobbyists provide on-the-record testimony during legislative hearings and committee meetings to provide lawmakers with the school board perspective. ASBSD staff lobbyists use ASBSD Standing Positions and Legislative Resolutions as the cornerstone of all legislative testimony, providing additional data and perspective when appropriate.
Members can use ASBSD's legislative testimony to gain a more thorough understanding of legislative issues and will find the arguments and data useful when advocating at the local level.
Note: ASBSD supports or opposes a number of bills each session. May times, we don't prepare formal testimony. However, when there are critical issues that require detailed explanations or that are priorities for our members, we prepare testimony and archive it below.
