BuyBoard purchasing power piquing interest with districts

A nationally used option for purchasing is growing in popularity among South Dakota school districts.

 

BuyBoard is an online purchasing cooperative designed to streamline the purchasing process and help districts make confident buying decisions. ASBSD did extensive research to ensure BuyBoard complied with South Dakota bid laws – click here for additional information on the cooperative.

BuyBoard gives districts flexibility and additional options in purchasing,” ASBSD Executive Director Wade Pogany said.

 

Currently, 25 South Dakota school districts have joined the more than 1,200 school districts nationwide as BuyBoard members:

  • Alcester-Hudson School District
  • Baltic School District
  • Belle Fourche School District
  • Beresford School District
  • Brandon Valley School District
  • Brookings School District
  • Colman-Egan School District
  • Custer School District
  • Douglas School District
  • Hamlin School District

  • Lake Preston School District
  • Leola School District
  • Meade School District
  • Milbank School District

  • Plankinton School District
  • Rapid City School District

“Our member districts joining the BuyBoard program are benefitting from the frugal and efficient approach to purchasing that’s offered through the cooperative,” Pogany said.

 

To become a cooperative member, your school board simply needs to pass a resolution authorizing participation in the national purchasing cooperative and the interlocal participation agreement. Download the resolution here and the interlocal participation agreement here.
