Online education resource bill no more, after hoghouse

A bill that would have aided the development of online educational resources is no more after a hoghouse was introduced and approved by House members.

Senate Bill 176, which called for the appropriation funds for the development of online resources and a rubric of textbook analysis for use in school districts, took on a new form that appropriates $885,000 to enhance the data systems in the Secretary of State’s Office.

ASBSD supported SB 176 in its original form.

The bill now moves back to the Senate for review.
