ASBSD and SASD are very excited about the upcoming legislative interim study on education funding and we believe it benefits the study to have a dialogue between all interested parties prior to the committee’s first meeting.
We need you to be involved to make the study as beneficial as possible.
Our associations, in cooperation with the study’s Committee Chair Rep. Jacqueline Sly, have scheduled four town hall meetings for board members and administrators to discuss the study with committee members.
We need you to attend one of the four meetings in your area to contribute to the study, whether it’s providing information about your district, asking questions of the committee, answering questions the committee members may have or attending to show solidarity for the study and the K-12 community.
There should be no assumptions made about the outcomes for education funding in South Dakota, but any contribution from our members to the committee’s work as a result of these meetings will help.
