With the recent confirmation of Coronavirus reaching South Dakota, ASBSD, SASD, the state Department of Education and the state Department of Health is providing information and action steps to all school districts to combat and prevent the spread of the virus.

Board members should work with their superintendent to:
- Review your policies on communicable diseases;
- Download and read the PDF from the state Department of Health that provides information on the virus and preventing its spread
- Adhere to CDC guidance; and
- Develop a plan to communicate to parents and teachers how the district is managing the situation.
We will continue to monitor developments and take our lead from the state Department of Health on how to proceed.
