The South Dakota Board of Nursing invites school officials and the public to attend a discussion on the Virtual Nursing Care for School Children with Diabetes Project.

 

Discussion will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at the Ivy Room located on 2425 S Shirley Ave. Suite 118 in Sioux Falls.

 

Currently, school personnel, other than the school nurse, are not allowed to administer insulin shots to students. The discussion is an opportunity for school district officials to share their thoughts on the diabetic care of school aged children and what can be done in schools to assist with that care.
