School safety resources were highlighted in a recent legislative committee meeting.
Sec. Price noted the School Safety Resource Center presented “opportunities we could take the lead from the state’s perspective” in “improving school safety.”
He added the center will “do assessments on the safety” of the infrastructure and mechanisms related to school safety as well as “providing training for behavioral health analysis” of students to “get them the assistance that they need.”
“That’s been really successful,” Sec. Price told committee members. “It’s starting to get a lot of traction.”
