Winner School Board member Steve Kubik was elected to the ASBSD Board of Directors this month.
Kubik, in his sixth year serving on his local school board, will represent ASBSD’s Central Region’s 700-1,399 enrollment category. The four year term for Kubik will begin in August.
Kubik served as Director for the region and category since 2010 and has represented the Winner School Board at ASBSD’s Delegate Assembly for the past six years.
A farmer and rancher, Kubik’s six years of experience on the Winner School Board have seen him actively involved in the negotiation’s process as a member of the school board’s negotiations committee.
Kubik noted being a member of the ASBSD Board of Directors provides opportunities to continue to advocate for education for our public school students, take an active leadership role on state level education issues and help set a legislative direction for the Association that benefits all member districts.
“Steve’s an experienced school board member and we’re excited to have his knowledge of school board related matters and his advocating efforts on the ASBSD Board,” ASBSD Executive Director Wade Pogany said.
“We look forward to our continued relationship with him.”
