A record number of school boards have earned an award in ASBSD’s board recognition program in 2019-20.
So far, in ASBSD’s board recognition program: ALL, which stands for Act, Learn, Lead, 65 school boards have reached the Gold, Silver or Bronze award levels.
ALL recognizes board members’ participation in outside activities, board development and training, and demonstrated leadership at a variety of levels, with points earned by participating in ASBSD activities, training opportunities and demonstrating leadership at the local, state and national level throughout the fiscal year (July 1-June 30), with GAVEL Training counting for a total of three years.
The 65 school boards having earned an ALL award is the first time in the four years of the program for more than 60 school boards to reach Gold, Silver or Bronze, with 52 award recipients in 2018-19, 56 in 2017-18 and 48 in 2016-17.
For the Gold Level (minimum 500 points) award 21 boards have reached the tier, in the Silver Level (minimum 350 points) there are 19 boards and at the Bronze Level (minimum 250 points) 25 boards will receive a plaque.
