Associated School Boards of South Dakota extends deepest sympathies to the family, friends and colleagues of Representative Dan Dryden.
Along with the many that knew and loved Representative Dryden, the people of South Dakota have lost a great champion of the values and beliefs that make this state great.
“We’re deeply saddened by the loss of Dan and our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time,” ASBSD Executive Director Wade Pogany said. “He was a great man to not only work with at the Capitol, but just to know personally, as well.”
“We’ll always hold Dan in high regard and have a great deal of respect for all he has done for South Dakota.”
A veteran legislator and former school business manager, Rep. Dryden was instrumental in helping enhance South Dakota and our public education system; he spent a great deal of time through his work in the legislature, and in other areas, advocating for the people of our great state.
“Dan will rightfully be remembered as a great man and as a great champion for South Dakota,” Pogany said. “Although we’re grieving now, we’ll forever fondly remember Dan.”
