The South Dakota Office of Homeland Security is offering a grant to school districts and other governmental entities designed to assist them in protecting and recovering from acts of terrorism and catastrophic events.
Homeland Security programming follows the framework of the National Preparedness Goal and supported Homeland Security projects focus on:
- Building protection capabilities across the state;
- Expanding regional collaboration;
- Strengthening interoperable communications;
- Improving capabilities to detect and respond to hazardous materials and other disasters.
