ASBSD’s Delegate Assembly is the time and place to establish your state school board association’s legislative direction and share your district’s view on key legislative topics.
Delegates will vote on ASBSD’s resolutions and standing positions, which set the legislative path for the 2019 legislative session. This year’s Delegate Assembly is set for Friday, November 16 at Drifters in Fort Pierre (325 Hustan Ave.) beginning at 1 p.m. (Central Time) and scheduled to conclude at approximately 5 p.m. (Central Time), but may run longer depending on discussion.
Board members attending Delegate Assembly earn 25 ALL points for their board!

“ASBSD member districts need to be represented at Delegate Assembly to share input on the legislative direction of the Association,” ASBSD Executive Director Wade Pogany said.
“It’s imperative your district’s voice is in attendance and heard.”
ASBSD wants to hear from all member districts at Delegate Assembly and request you submit the name of the school board member who will be serving as your district’s delegate. Your district can submit your delegate’s name in one of two ways, either:
- Complete the delegate appointment form(click to open or download the attachment from the Publications & Forms page under the Event Documents header) and return by email to tpickner@asbsd.org or via fax 605-773-2501, or;
- Simply forward your delegate’s name to tpickner@asbsd.org.
If you have questions about submitting a delegate or Delegate Assembly, please contact Tyler at tpickner@asbsd.org or at 605-773-8382 or 605-881-3791.
