A new face joining ASBSD happens to be a familiar one, as well.

 

Dr. Randall Royer will join ASBSD on Aug. 1 as the Leadership Development and Teacher Placement Director. Dr. Royer accepted the position previously held by Dr. Julie Ertz.

“Randall will be an excellent fit with ASBSD,” Executive Director Wade Pogany said. “His experience as an educator and veteran school board member will serve him well as we continue to provide high quality professional development to South Dakota School Boards.”

 

Dr. Royer comes with 11-years of school board experience – seven as board president – with the Spearfish School District and also with three years of experience on the ASBSD Board Directors. In addition, Dr. Royer has more than 30 years of teaching experience from the elementary to adult education levels.
