SafeSchools Training System available to ASBSD members in September
ASBSD and SafeSchools Online Staff Training System are partnering to bring all member districts access to a market-leading training system creating even safer learning environments for students and staff members.
Members of the Associated School Boards Protective Trust’s Workers’ Compensation and Property/Liability Funds have access to the training system at no cost and all other ASBSD members receive the program at a 50 percent savings beginning in September.
The SafeSchools Training System offers school boards and district administrators the opportunity to automate their staff training.
“The training courses are all school-focused,” ASBPT Director Matt Flett said. “Each piece of content is relevant and applicable to the school environment.”

The web-based system includes a comprehensive library of courses covering important school safety and compliance topics, such as Active Shooter; Bloodborne Pathogens; Bullying Prevention; Child Abuse Identification; Hazing Prevention; Sexual Harassment; Visual Weapons Screening; Youth Suicide Prevention and more.
Starting in September, administrators can easily assign SafeSchools Training courses or their own district-specific policies and content, automatically track progress, and download compliance reports.
“Our partnership with SafeSchools will assist school boards and administrators striving to enhance school safety in their districts,” Flett said.
“We look forward to growing these opportunities for our districts.”
